Autostarting applications in Gnome

Having transferring my data from my Ubuntu 10.04 netbook to my new PC, I wanted to prevent the auto-startup of Akregator, DigiGuide and KOrganizer.

I used System, Preferences, Startup Applications to turn off Akregator and DigiGuide but saw no KOrganizer option.

When I rebooted Akregator and KOrganizer autostarted. But I had turned off Akregator - I checked and it was turned off.

A Google search suggested ~/.config/autostart/akregator.desktop needed Hidden=true but all that does is hide it from the Startup Applications tool.

There is another hidden facility: ~/.config/gnome-session/saved-session

Deleting the files in there will stop things autostarting; I have no recollection of ever saving a session.
